GEL-SD-LYTE Slate Blue/Cocoa Powder

The GEL-SD-LYTE concept was envisioned by the ASICS studio with Kiko Kostadinov — inspired by the egg, with an outer shell and an inner membrane that envelop the foot, with the upper and sole molded in one piece to limit superfluous material.

Mesh underlays meet overlapping cage-style panels that emulate the egg's outer shell and inner membrane. This construction gives the GEL-SD LYTE its unique visual identity: a surface that appears continuous and fluid, with no marked break between zones, like an envelope that has been molded around the foot rather than sewn onto it.

In the Slate Blue / Cocoa Powder colorway, the palette balances organic browns reminiscent of coconut shells with assertive blue accents that create an immediately legible cool-warm tension. The Slate Blue — a slightly desaturated, calm, and contemporary slate blue — covers the main panels of the cage. The Cocoa Powder — warm chocolate brown — is applied to the contrast areas, branding details, and midsole. This blue and taupe palette gives it a refined technical finish, while the visible GEL® cushioning underfoot adds ASICS' signature comfort.

FLYTEFOAM® PROPEL™ cushioning ensures advanced shock absorption and elastic response, with the rubber outsole managing traction and grip.
