GEL-KAYANO 12.1 Dragon Fruit/Black

Co-created with KITH, the GEL-KAYANO 12.1 is a reinterpretation of the 2006 archive that takes its two references seriously: European Gothic armor for the upper, and the GEL-NIMBUS 17 for the midsole. These two sources do not come from the same world — one is medieval and sculptural, the other is a modern marathon shoe — and it is precisely this tension that makes the silhouette unique.

In the Dragon Fruit / Black colorway, the shoe plays a frankly colorful card. The Dragon Fruit — a saturated and vibrant rose-magenta, evocative of the bright flesh of the exotic fruit — invades the main panels of the mesh upper and synthetic overlays. Black structures the contrasting areas, finishing details, and metallic overlays inspired by armor plates. The ensemble creates a rich and immediate visual reading: the architectural complexity of the upper is even more legible on this contrasting palette.

The GEL-NIMBUS 17 midsole — originally designed for marathon runners' comfort — features dual GEL technology in the rearfoot and forefoot with the FLUIDRIDE platform for soft and responsive cushioning. The breathable mesh underlays ensure ventilation. Released on June 21, 2026.
