GEL-KAYANO 12.1 Piedmont Grey/Gravel

The GEL-KAYANO 12.1 is a silhouette born from a collaboration between ASICS and KITH, then released beyond that single framework—and its origin is evident in every detail of the upper. Inspired by European Gothic armor and its structural and metallic properties, the 12.1's upper combines an open mesh base with synthetic overlays that articulate angular, almost skeletal panels on the quarter panels and toe cap. ASICS' signature Tiger Stripes are integrated as shiny overlays that create a surface reading that is both matte and reflective.

The Piedmont Grey / Gravel colorway amplifies this effect: Piedmont grey—light, mineral, almost limestone-like—lays a neutral base, while Gravel—darker, denser, and earthier grey—structures the accent areas. Silver metallic finishes integrate the Tiger Stripes and branding details.
